How we ship
Engines and transmissions are heavy, awkward freight. They ship on pallets via freight carrier rather than through a parcel network, which shapes most of what follows.
Delivery timing
Transit time depends on distance and delivery type. Domestic freight typically runs a few business days once the unit is collected, and your order confirmation will carry the estimate for your address. Freight schedules can move for weather and carrier capacity.
Commercial vs residential delivery
A commercial address — most repair shops — usually has a dock or forklift, which makes delivery cheaper and simpler. Residential delivery generally requires a liftgate and an appointment window, both of which add cost. If you can take delivery at the shop doing the work, do.
On arrival
- Someone must be present to receive and sign for the shipment
- Inspect the pallet before signing and note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork
- Photograph the unit on the pallet before it is moved
- Contact us the same day if anything looks wrong
Signing a clean delivery receipt for a damaged pallet makes a freight claim much harder, so it is worth the two minutes.

How much does shipping an engine cost?
Freight is quoted to your ZIP code and included in your total rather than added afterwards. The two things that move it most are distance and whether the delivery point is commercial or residential, since a home address usually needs a liftgate truck and a booked appointment window.
Can I collect the part myself instead of paying for freight?
Ask when you request the quote. Where collection is possible it removes the freight cost entirely, but an engine on a pallet needs a suitable vehicle and a way to load it at both ends, so it is worth confirming you can handle it before choosing that route.
What happens if the part arrives damaged?
Note the damage on the delivery paperwork before you sign, photograph the unit while it is still on the pallet, and contact us the same day. Signing a clean receipt for a damaged pallet makes a freight claim considerably harder, so those two minutes at the kerb matter more than anything you can do afterwards.
Do you ship to all 50 states?
Yes, across the continental United States, with Alaska and Hawaii quoted individually because they route differently and cost more.
